Shaomi has recently launched his latest budget smartphone Redmi 5. This phone also has a price segment of Rs 12,000, which already has many handsets of brands such as Samsung, Nokia, Lenovo and Shaoomi. The new smartphone has already been launched after the launch of the Redmi Note 5 launched in India about a month ago. The new feature of the new Redmi 5 includes a 5.7-inch 18: 9 display, 3300 mAh battery and LED flash with front camera. The Xiaomi Redmi 5’s 2 GB RAM and 16GB storage variants are priced at Rs 7,999. At the same time, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage variants will be available for Rs 8,999. The variant with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage is 10,999 rupees. This phone will be sold through flash cell. The first cell is on March 20 at 12 noon. Meanwhile handsets will be available in Amazon India, Me.com and Mo Home Offline Store. The phone will be made available in the offline market too soon.

On the basis of this type of hardware and software, this phone will be able to challenge Lenovo K8 Plus (review), Samsung Galaxy J7 and Nokia 5. We’ve spent some time with Redmi 5. Let’s tell you how at first glance did we find this smartphone?

18: 9 Imagine the increasing popularity of the display such that, except for the cheap Redmi 5A, all the recently launched Smartphones by Shaomi come with this type of screen. Redmi 5 has a 5.7 inch screen and its body is smaller than 5.5 inch iPhone 8 Plus.

Shaomi Redmi 5 is much more motivated than its powerful variant Shaomi Redmi Note 5. The metal body is the same, but due to the small screen it is smaller in comparison. Redmi 5 weighs 157 grams. On top there is 2.5 d of the curved glass. The phone is 151.8 mm long, 72.8 mm wide and 7.7 millimeters thick. Shaomi has also provided a TPU cover in the retail box, due to which it will slip into the hands.

There is no physical button on the front panel. Home, overview and back button are on-screen. There is a 5 megapixel front camera on top of the display. It also has its own LED selfie light. The performance of the camera is similar to the other handsets of the segment, but less light than the LED flash helps. There is also Smart Beauty 3.0 feature to improve selfies. But we will talk about its performance in detail only during the review.

On the back side, Xiaomi Redmi 5 has a 12 megapixel camera with F / 2.2 aperture, phase detection, autofocus, HDR and LED flash. The handset of the Redmi series does not go for the best rear camera. The condition of Redmi 5 is similar. In limited time spent with the phone, we found that Redmi 5 takes some good pictures in the light. But in low light the performance is weak. In this way we will ask you to wait for the review again.

There is a fingerprint sensor on the back side of the phone, which is found at the bottom of the camera. The texture of the phone is such that it does not have trouble reaching this sensor. During the initial testing, it did fine work too.

There is volume and power buttons on the left edge of Redmi 5. On the right is a hybrid sim slot. You will be able to use MicroSD card with two Nano SIM cards or a Nano SIM card at a time. At the bottom of the phone there is a micro-USB port and loudspeaker. Top 3.5mm headphone jacks, infrared emitters and microphones have been replaced.

The 18: 9 display is HD + (720×1440 pixels) resolution. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor has been used in the phone. The good thing is that it is one of the cheap smartphones available in the market that comes with this processor. We will assess its performance during the review. We’ve spent time with 3GB RAM and 32 GB of storage. The phone never slowed down while using it for some time. But remember that we used the new phone at all.

Xiaomi’s latest smartphone out of box runs on Android 7.1.2 MUI 9 based on Nouga. Like other Shawomi phones based on the MUI, Redmi 5 has many customization options. For the time being, no information has been provided about the update of Android Orio.

Talking about the software, there is a security app in the MUI which works to monitor the storage of memory and storage, scanning malware, and battery consumption. You’ll be able to customize app lock according to your liking. Apart from this, features like blocklist feature, separate space for privacy, and dual apps are also available.

Redmi 5 also has screen recorder app, m remote, m drop, facebook and shopping app. Apart from these, Microsoft Apps like Word, Outlook, Axel, PowerPoint and Skype Lite will also be available.

3300 MAH battery works in the device There is a sleep mode in the MUI. About this, the battery life has been claimed to be very good by closing the background app.
